CUDIT-R
Cannabis Use Disorders Identification Test – Revised
About This Instrument
The Cannabis Use Disorders Identification Test – Revised (CUDIT-R) is an 8-item self-report screener modeled on the WHO’s AUDIT to identify problematic cannabis use. Items cover frequency of use, duration of use episodes, inability to stop, failure to meet expectations, morning use, memory/concentration problems, hazardous use, and others’ concerns about use. Each item is scored 0–4, with total scores from 0 to 32 and a recommended clinical cutoff of 12. The CUDIT-R is relevant to psychedelic research both as a screening tool (cannabis use may interact with psychedelic effects) and as an emerging outcome measure in studies investigating psilocybin for cannabis use disorder. It demonstrates good sensitivity (73%) and specificity (86%) and is freely available.
