World Ayahuasca Forum 2026

The World Ayahuasca Forum 2026, themed "Roots of Living Futures", will be held in Girona and is organised by the Yorenka Tasorentsi Institute and ICEERS. This global forum focuses on the recognition and protection of cultural traditions, facilitating a deep intercultural dialogue between indigenous leadership and Western knowledge systems. The event is preceded by a two-day pre-forum session, leading into a main programme that covers the cultural, scientific, political, and legal dimensions of ayahuasca use.

Participants can engage in thematic tracks that address the regulatory policies, safety practices, and scientific research surrounding sacred plants. Beyond ayahuasca, the forum also extends its scope to other biocultural traditions, such as peyote, iboga, and mushrooms. Through a mixture of lectures, workshops, and art exhibitions, the forum aims to safeguard ancestral knowledge and promote the protection of the territories where these sacred plants are grown.
