Psychedelic Intersections 2026
Psychedelic Intersections 2026 is an interdisciplinary conference held at the Harvard Divinity School that examines the multifaceted role of psychedelics through the lenses of the humanities, religion, and law. As the fourth annual iteration of this series, the event is a collaboration between several Harvard centres, including the Center for the Study of World Religions and the Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy. The conference provides a platform for scholars and practitioners to explore how these substances intersect with cultural and spiritual traditions.
The 2026 programme is organised around three primary research tracks: Psychedelics and Religion, Psychedelics and Humanities, and Psychedelics and Law. These tracks facilitate focused discussions on topics ranging from chaplaincy and indigenous plant medicine traditions to ethical legal frameworks and the philosophy of consciousness. The event attracts a diverse audience of academics, policymakers, and spiritual care providers interested in the responsible integration of psychedelics into society.
