The Psychotherapeutic Touch Workshop is a four-hour introductory course for Integrative Psychedelic Professionals. The course explores the impact of touch culture and history on clients and offers comprehensive training on the ethics and skills of psychotherapeutic touch.
Participants will learn about fundamental practices such as communication and consent, rupture and repair, and the special considerations of working with clients in Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness. The training is both didactic and experiential, focusing on building community and heart-centred practices.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to identify ethical guidelines on the use of touch in psychotherapy, discuss the clinical arguments for and against touch in therapy, and demonstrate self-awareness practices to understand their own touch history. They will also be able to describe key considerations in clinical assessments, demonstrate clear communication skills related to providing psychotherapeutic touch, and explain the importance of consent for both the clinician and the client.
