Course Overview
The Certificate in Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy is a program designed for therapists seeking to obtain the training and education necessary to become a licensed Psilocybin Facilitator under Oregon’s Measure 109. The program is grounded in Fluence’s Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration (PHRI) approach and is taught by leading experts with psilocybin-assisted therapy experience in clinical research settings. It includes 120 hours of instruction in mixed in-person, online asynchronous, and online synchronous formats, plus a 40-hour practicum experience for a total of 160 hours.
The program is licensed by the Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission and has received curriculum approval from the Oregon Health Authority. The program includes two courses: Psilocybin-assisted Therapy Part 1, and Psilocybin-assisted Therapy Part 2, and will take place over 30 weekly sessions, in small groups of around 12 participants. The program also includes an in-person course "Trauma-informed Psychedelic-assisted Therapy" which will be scheduled at least twice a year. Participants will also have access to an online classroom with resources, schedules, and opportunities for collaboration.
Upon completion of the program, participants will be eligible for the OHA’s Psilocybin-facilitator’s Licensing Exam.
Applications were open until late 2023, but no new cohorts have been announced.
